Salmon SharkSalmon Shark-/ Lamna Ditropis -

We target Alaska's most powerful & unique gamefish in many of the remote protected bays that Prince William Sound has to offer.  Salmon Sharks are cousins of Great White & Mako Sharks, & they follow the millions of wild salmon that return to PWS each year to spawn. Some of our fishing locations literally have hundreds of Sharks gorging on salmon near the surface. The visual spectacle is sometimes incredible, as these apex predators can launch themselves out of water while chasing salmon. Sharks typically range between 250-500 lbs., but can get nearly twice as big in size! Long grueling battles are the norm on these Sharks, as they have been compared to the fight of giant Marlin. This sportfishery is still being pioneered, & there are only a handful of boats in Alaska with the proper knowledge & gear to succesfully charter for these Sharks. This is serious Big Game Fishing- involving Guns, Bangsticks, Harpoons, Gaffs, Knives, large Hooks, & Big powerful Sharks! The Shark limit is currently 1 per day & 2 per year- per person, & they make excellent table fare (when properly cared for) which tastes similar to Swordfish. We do promote Catch & Release of these unique gamefish if filling the freezer is not your goal. Salmon Shark fishing is truly an unforgettable Alaskan experience!

Pacific Pacific HalibutHalibut-/Hippoglossus Stenolepsis -

We target these monsters of the deep in the Gulf of Alaska & Prince William Sound. These fish will range anywhere between 20 - 300 lbs, with the State Record being a giant 459 lbs!  The biggest "Barndoors" come from the Gulf of Alaska where there is very limited fishing pressure & lots of feed. Be advised that the Gulf of Alaska is not protected from the North Pacific like the Sound, so the fishing is weather dependent. We typically fish anywhere between 100' - 200' of water, and contrary to some belief- big Halibut fight extremely hard! It is also common to catch large Lingcod up to the State Record of 81 lbs., which is one of the best eating fish available. Yellow Eye Snapper up to the State Record of 38 lbs. & other  Rockfish are also available on most charters. We do promote Catch & Release of small "chicken" Halibut & also large spawning females. The Halibut limit is currently 2 per day- per person.

Pacific Salmon-/Oncorhynchus Kisutch-

Although Silver Salmon charters in Prince William Sound are the main target, other available options can targeting all 5 species of Pacific Salmon- including freshwater trips for King Salmon up to the state record of 97 lbs. August saltwater charters for Silvers in PWS, consistently produce limits of dime bright ocean-fresh fish that are hard to beat by any standards. PWS has one of the best Coho runs in the entire state, and the seas are almost always flat calm. This is a great family trip in an amazing setting with the rugged glacier capped Chugach Mountains as the background. Back at the dock after photos, your fish will be expertly filleted & cleaned. The Silver Salmon limit is currently 6 per day-per person for fish up to the Sate Record of 26 lbs. The Valdez Fish Derby gives away great cash prizes for big fish.

Kayak Fishing

Kayak Fishing-

This unique fishery is available to both Saltwater & Freshwater fisherman. This is a fantastic Alaskan wilderness adventure that will get you far away from the crowds. Our sit-on-top 14' Kayaks are very stable, & will put you right on top of the Salmon in a remote lagoon or stream. Depending on your timing, available species include; Silver Salmon, Pink Salmon, Chum Salmon, Red Salmon, & Dolly Varden. You will no doubt share the area with only the local wildlife. This is the perfect trip for an experienced fly fisherman or a spin fisherman who is truly an outdoor enthusiast. Saltwater transportation is aboard our custom 34' vessel, where we will travel to a remote protected bay to launch the Kayaks! This is not a freezer filling trip, as we promote Catch & Release of these wild fish.
